Reno has very few neighborhoods that are unsafe one of them being by the rodeo grounds. Prices vary greatly as it’s much more expensive to live in the south or southwest than the north valleys for instance. Real estate is now more expensive than Sacramento.
Yes I looked at the coverage and it’s the same. My car insurance is 1200/year for a 16 year old car that I only drive 2700/miles per year. No tickets or accidents.
I just received my homeowner’s insurance policy and it hasn’t gone up at all. My car insurance with geigo has been going up 20-30% a year and is due in July. I have shopped around and no one is cheaper. Nevada has 75% of the population living in and around Vegas with more accidents, thefts...
I still can’t help but wonder if they wanted the license plate or the unique holder that was on it. Neither one was found on the ground because I walked around in case they dropped one of them. Maybe they didn’t like veterans. Anyway now I don’t have a license plate holder at all since it was...
For fine dining I use a CC. I’m taking my son and his wife to a really nice restaurant for his birthday and wouldn’t carry that much cash. But if I’m having lunch out I always have enough cash for that.
After my kids grew up I divorced their dad and I was so sick of taking care of everyone that I didn’t even have a plant for a few years:)). The teenage years are hard. I have only known men to remarry quickly too. I did eventually remarry but it was 6 years later and I was only 50.
Unexpected things happened in my case. When I divorced husband 2 he had hid 3/4ths of our assets. In retrospect I should have hired a PI to find them. So had a big restart at age 43.

I have been retired 12 years. For the first 7 years we took a lot of trips in the motorhome with our 4 dogs. We saw many national parks and our family and friends all over the country. We also took cruises and recently I have been going to Europe.
I taught a college class for 7 years hence my...
There’s free reputable credit counseling agencies. One was mentioned earlier in this thread. I would totally back out of this situation. It’s not your problem to solve. It will also be better for your friendships in the long run.
My mom lived to almost 90 and my dad died much earlier. We encouraged them to travel and spend their money which they did. They were hard working blue collar workers and saved as much as they could. My mom prepaid her funeral and when she died we sold her car which paid for all the guests at...
The colleges have career counselors that can administer interest inventories as a starting point. Then she can investigate careers of interest.
Most states have a computer program that is called the “Career Information System “ that shows you the pay, job outlook, etc for your state. If the...
