I noticed a couple rough bumps, wife said get it looked at- I got an appt a few weeks out, but the key is to ask them to call if anyone cancels- they had one that very afternoon.
Doc said they were a hereditary thing and froze them. I said hell, I could have done that at home with compressed...
no ladders for me
It might be a good idea to ask your primary care provider for a precautionary bone density test.
I Slipped on Unseen melting ice & Had to get a pin in my r femur. To got home from the hospital, promptly fell against a bookshelf, broke my right humorous near the shoulder...
Once a year
I do the oil change at a quick lube place, about once a year, we only drive about 6000 miles a year.
The dealership near here was sold to one of those outfits that owns a dealership for every brand of car, it seems. Next time I will get a car via Costco, but of course it will have...
Could be worse
Mine are always diagnostic and I have to have one EVERY YEAR due to liver problems. But when you consider that it is the EXACT SAME procedure regardless of billing, I agree this is BS
Bitwarden
I use Bitwarden, it's free and seems reliable. Sometimes I am bored and change a password here or there, and check for defunct sites. I assume some extra risk because I have too many sites with passwords. My wife keeps hers in a little notebook she squirrels away. Life is full of risks.
Good luck
I got four out of four over the last four days. You really only have to get 3 groups, the fourth group you just click them into place of course. I try to guess what they have in common first though.
I do wordle and connections every morning with my coffee. Fun!
Look
If you can find out what job his crew is on right now... maybe follow his truck? I have seen a few outfits around here, mostly the ones that hire latinos, they really hustle. Other outfits they mostly hang out by the truck. And of course referrals. My brother was in that business as ROOF...
Paint the door?
I think I read somewhere that you are supposed to paint your front door red when you pay off your house? We didn't do that, it's on my endless list of home tasks. Renting in a nice high-rise like George Jefferson is looking better and better.
She loves this sort of thing
I was going to get my wife a diamond encrusted watch, but why? There is a clock on the stove.
I KID I KID it's on the microwave
So true about nutty drivers, and people on their cellphones, just not paying enough attention. I don't drive much, but my insurance company does not take that into account.
probably not
Most of the food at Costco is prepackaged stuff, or frozen. You can save money but the quantities are large and a 2 person household would probably end up throwing stuff out. I don't think it would be worth it for you.
I use mine to play solitaire, play scrabble with my sister and my nephew, plus all the usual swiss army knife apps, flashlight, camera, GPS, shopping list ... I hate when the phone rings though.
I blame the author
I enjoy Stephen King's long books like "The Institute" and years ago, "The Stand" I usually get books at the local used book store, or yard sales. I don't like the pressure to return them to the library. If I start a book and it just does not hold my interest, I throw it in...
Also consider spouse
I am going on 63, was going to take it now, but I have liver problems and probably won't live past 70 or so.
My financial advisor says I should do 67 anyway, if my wife lives into her 80's, it will wash out to be a better deal.
If I live a lot longer that would be even...
Other people? No thanks.
The relationships thing.... What if a person is a stone-cold introvert? Outside of my immediate family, other people wear on me pretty quickly.
Haircut
I have been cutting my own hair since the pandemic started, with varying degrees of success. Sometimes it looks just fine, a few times it was not too good.
My advice- have an assortment of hats around. It helps that I wear glasses, maybe. Also I have some skin cancer and other scars...
Me too, and a lot in savings, I get 3.75% at Citizens Bank. I don't like fooling around with CD's. Most of our retirement is handled by Merrill Lynch, but I like to have liquidity that is faster to access also.
Old computers
I remember a few decades ago my dad and I bought several external 1200 baud modems out of a tub skid at the Boeing Surplus store in Kent Wa. - not there anymore, sadly. We bought extras in case some did not work. It was a big upgrade from 300 baud. Now of course that's obsolete...
I have one of those boring gray CRV's because I got a good deal on it slightly used. I would like to see a resurgence in two-tone cars. Maybe I will settle for bright red rims? I'm tacky that way.
