What professions have you added to your "not necessary", portfolio after RE?
We moved remote n off grid several years ago. We've built multiple new homes ourselves over the years, including doing all the electrical but we've added sound solar expertise to our portfolio on this cabin.

The land we bought was horribly overgrown forest. So have spent considerable amount of time thinning, clearing, fire mitigating along with heating with wood only so definitely can add logging to the portfolio. Felling is an art!

This past winter, after receiving a lot of bad hay and picking through bales @ -30f to -35f because of moldy hay. It was what I needed to finally put in motion putting up our own hay. We've bought some used haying equipment recently to go through, modify, so will soon be adding farming to our portfolio.

Once we get the juniper and trees thinned, our grass is coming in good. We'll end up having treed pastures. Conventional haying equipment doesn't work well in such areas so we'll have to heavily modify and build new equipment to match our needs. I enjoy the designing, building, problem solving.

Were blessed beyond belief to be able to do these things!
