On a thread, going to last comment where you left off

On the previous version of the website, the thread would remember where you last left off. Can this new web app do the same? I can't seem to figure out how.

If you go to the "New Posts" link and click on the thread title link (and you're logged in), it'll take you to the first unread post. It does for me at least.

For example:


and scrolling down a bit has the following link in it:


which is the first unread post on that thread for me at that time.
 
In general, it will remember the last post you read. You should only need “Jump to New” if it’s a thread that you haven’t read since before the new software was set up.

When the new software started, I remember an option to mark all as read. That basically told the software that I was current on all threads and accordingly, I haven’t had to use the “Jump to New” very often. I have found it necessary when someone resurrects an old thread.
